The Tangled Web

Description

What tangled webs she'll weave.

The tantalizing and terrifying Tangled Web is a character inspired (in part) by Marvel's Spider-Woman.
The original Jessica Drew version, was among my favorite female characters. (That is until they stripped her of her powers and gave her name away to a series of less-worthy characters! (Don't get me started on that!)
Anyway, I understand that she's back now and causing quite a ruckus with her tuchus!

You can see the Spider-Woman influences in the red/yellow color combination, in the mask, and even in the logo design.
There's also a bit of a nod to the Golden Age  MLJ/Archie Comics character called simply "The Web" who wore a webbed cape.
An early idea was to combine elements of Spider man and Spider-Woman and make her costume Blue and Yellow. Ultimately, the red seemed more seductive and dangerous. Also, in nature, bright coloring (specifically yellow and red) are used as a warning to predators. So I went with it.

Not much of a back-story for her yet, but I'm sure that more about the character will reveal itself to me, before she makes her her way into a Blue Bug story.

So what if she's actually the creator of said fabric, though others have been able to copy her designs, even some villains. I'd also think that in doing a comic book with her it would be interesting to have the limits of her costume tested at times during her series ( going up against a character with claws that tears her costume a bit, or a flame character, etc).  So she has a good costume for defense, yet you may need to work it so she has training in a fighting style or two so that she can mount an offense.
